Dr. Walter Wang is passionate about providing exceptional dental care to the Mentor community. As part of the Fioritto Family Dental team, he is proud to contribute to the warm and welcoming environment that patients have come to expect.
Dr. Wang believes that building strong, harmonious relationships with his patients is the cornerstone of successful oral health. He takes the time to listen and understand each patient’s unique needs, fostering open communication to ensure his care is tailored to them. His philosophy centers on delivering a superior patient experience through modern technology and a comprehensive understanding of dentistry. Dr. Wang also prioritizes patient education, believing that optimal oral health is integral to overall well-being. Dr. Wang earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, known for its emphasis on digital dentistry and cutting-edge patient care. He furthered his training in advanced general dentistry (GPR) at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, where he gained experience treating a diverse and medically complex patient population. Dr. Wang is an active member of several esteemed organizations, including the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), American Dental Association (ADA), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
A firm believer in the importance of continuing education, Dr. Wang actively participates in advanced training through Spear Education, AAID, and Implant Pathway. He has earned the distinction of Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) and Associate Fellow in the AAID (AFAAID). Additionally, he is a member of the Spear Study Club, where he collaborates with seasoned dentists and specialists to address complex cases and share insights in a multidisciplinary setting.
Dr. Wang has extensive training in various aspects of general dentistry, including aesthetic dentistry (bonding, crowns, veneers), dental implants (treatment planning, placement, and restoration), fixed bridges, root canal therapy, full mouth rehabilitation, treatment of worn dentition, TMD management, extractions, periodontal treatment, and dentures. He is also a certified Invisalign provider.
Originally from Kunming, China, known as the “City of Eternal Spring,” Dr. Wang has spent the last 17 years in the U.S., living in cities such as Denver, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Boston, and New York City. Now settled in Columbus with his wife, Kellie, also a dentist, and their dog, Bess, he is excited to serve the Mentor community. Fluent in Mandarin, Dr. Wang enjoys traveling, reading, working out, and cheering for the Buckeyes in his free time.
